President William Ruto has claimed that 1,000 Kenyans are flying out of the country each week under a government-backed labor export program.
Speaking on Sunday, July 28, after a church service in Mwatate, Taita Taveta County, Ruto lauded the State Department of Labour and Skill Development, led by Principal Secretary Shadrack Mwadime, for the program’s success in tackling unemployment.

He emphasized that the administration has facilitated these opportunities by signing bilateral agreements and ensuring swift processing of passports and air tickets, with those interested receiving their passports within a week and their travel expenses fully covered.
