A 28-year-old woman from Siaya County has surrendered to authorities after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death in a heated dispute over infidelity.
The incident, which occurred Saturday night in Mur-Ng’iya sub-location, has left the quiet community in shock.
Vivian Akoth is said to have confronted her 35-year-old boyfriend, Charlton Obare, moments after he arrived home with a friend.

As he staggered and eventually collapsed, Akoth fled the scene but later summoned the friend to confirm Charlton’s condition before sending a motorbike to rush him to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The police, upon investigating the scene, discovered that Akoth had turned herself in at the Siaya police station.
Described as a mother of one, Akoth now remains in custody as authorities begin their probe into the circumstances leading to the fatal altercation.
