In a now-deleted tweet, General Muhoozi ignited a storm of controversy by hinting at plans to invade Nairobi, Kenya’s capital.
“I will capture Nairobi for sure! That’s my hometown. If any Kenyan tries to prevent me. He’ll be soup! We will drink him for dinner,”
Such inflammatory remarks fueled tensions between Uganda and Kenya, with General Muhoozi boasting of Uganda’s military prowess and claiming superiority over Nairobi’s defenses.
Despite facing backlash for his bellicose rhetoric, General Muhoozi remained undeterred, even soliciting suggestions from his followers on potential residential areas in Nairobi post-invasion.
“It wouldn’t take us, my army and me, 2 weeks to capture Nairobi. After our army captures Nairobi, where should I live? Westlands? Riverside?”
