He clarified that possessing a title deed does not make him its guarantor, but rather validates his lawful acquisition, urging the EACC to corroborate with the CBK and Ministry of Lands.
With sharp criticism, the pastor rebuked the EACC for thrusting him into the media spotlight, expressing his indifference towards future appearances.
Ng’ang’a questioned the EACC’s absence during his two-decade tenure on the land, highlighting the inconsistency of being asked to vacate under the new government.
Ng’ang’a Recalls Going to Jail
Ng’ang’a, stating he obtained the title deeds in 2000 after years of occupying the land, reminisced about his past, including a period of incarceration.
He recounted being jailed over theft allegations and boldly challenged the government to arrest him again, daring them to fulfill their desire to paint him as a thief.
Having spent numerous years behind bars until his release in 1998, Ng’ang’a attributed his transformative journey to his time in prison, shaping him into a vessel for preaching the word of God.

EACC Takes Legal Action Against Pastor Ng’ang’a, Rubis Energy Over Alleged Land Grabbing
In a an earlier development of this story, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has set its sights on Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a, the controversial leader of Neno Evangelism Center, in its quest to reclaim valuable land in Nairobi’s bustling Central Business District (CBD).
The commission alleges that Pastor Ng’ang’a, along with several other private entities and former Commissioners of Land, were involved in the unlawful acquisition of five prime parcels of land, collectively valued at over Sh1.6 billion.
EACC explained that the parcels of land were purportedly seized from the Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) and the Nairobi City Council (NCC).

Dubbed as one of the most high-profile cases in recent memory, the legal battle between the EACC and Pastor Ng’ang’a unfolds against a backdrop of intrigue and accusations of corruption.
