Tragedy struck on Christmas Day in Holo, Kisumu County, when Sharon Otieno, a local second-hand clothes trader, discovered her 9-month-old baby had been stolen—allegedly by a woman she trusted.
Speaking through tears, Ms. Otieno revealed that the suspect, a regular customer, had cunningly timed her absence to carry out the heartbreaking act.
“I never thought someone I knew and welcomed into my life could betray me like this,” she lamented.
