A compassionate Kenyan who was in a matatu heading to Nyamira, kindly came to the aid of a schoolgirl who was tearfully distressed about not having shopping and pocket money.
On my way from Nyamira, I found myself seated next to a schoolgirl in a matatu. She had buried her face with her bag later on I realized she was crying.
The compassionate woman, intrigued, inquired what was troubling the girl who should have been rejoicing about returning to school instead of being bent over in tears
The woman who was on Facebook by the username Kerubo Onkundi said the girl revealed that her mother had unfortunately not been able to buy her shopping or give her some pocket money which she needed to learn push through the term.
She clarified that while her mother managed to cover her school fees, she fell short on funds for purchasing groceries and providing pocket money, leaving the girl disheartened and disappointed.
I tapped her and asked what was the problem and she narrated to me how her mother had paid fees and she had no enough money for her shopping and pocket money.
The compassionate woman reassured the girl, promising that things would improve.
To the girl’s surprise, the woman later delighted her with a shopping spree for all her necessities and provided pocket money, bringing immense joy to the saddened girl.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, the girl couldn’t believe her eyes, leaping with happiness as she hugged and thanked the kind stranger.

The compassionate woman even went as far as giving the young girl her mobile phone number, urging her not to hesitate to reach out if she encountered any further difficulties.

Many believed that her deed would have a significant impact on the young girl’s coming of age.
Some even shared their own similar experiences growing up, highlighting that despite the challenges in Kenya, most people have good hearts.
She had almost an empty shopping bag, I calmed her down and told her everything would be alright, on reaching Kebirigo I took responsibility and did some shopping for the things she was missing and gave her some money for pocket money. The girl smiled thanked me, hugged her wished her well and handed her my phone number for any future help she might need❤️
