Kenyans were left in disbelief yesterday evening following a shocking incident in the Kware area of Embakasi, where six unidentified bodies were recovered.
The discovery brought the area to a standstill as residents and people from afar gathered around the quarry where the bodies had been dumped, carefully stashed in sacks.
Videos and photos showed hundreds of people witnessing the retrieval of the bodies, with some locals on social media claiming there were more than nine bodies despite police reporting only six.

The bodies, all of women, were reportedly tied in a similar manner and showed a similar degree of decomposition, estimated to be one to two weeks, leaving Kenyans in shock.
The news attracted crowds to the scene, and upon witnessing the grim discovery, people began chanting “Ruto must go,” forcing police to fire shots in the air to disperse them.

Witnesses reported more disturbing details, noting that the bodies had been wrapped in black polythene bags, tied with ropes, and stashed in gunny sacks.
The Mukuru Community Justice Centre, a civic group that assisted locals in retrieving the bodies, described the discovery as macabre and horrific.
Videos that have since emerged show residents in shock, some covering their mouths in disbelief while others walked away in fear that the victims might be their relatives, adding to the tension in a country already facing numerous challenges.

Other witnesses involved in the retrieval reported that some bodies were dismembered, with only half or quarter parts remaining, leaving the small Pipeline community in mourning.
Social media users expressed their shock and wondered how the president would address this situation, with some suggesting that he might be framed by his enemies to fuel rejection against William Ruto.
