Kenyan Comedian GK Serkal recently showed off his multimillion mansion which is still under construction.
In an interview with Alex Madiba in his show, the famous comedian has revealed the struggles he underwent while saving so that he could have a home of his own.
Gk who is building a six- bedroom mansion said he has been living in a mabati house for seven good years so that he could save.
He said he calculated the monthly salary his landlord was earning per year and started saving so that one day he could have one of his own.
”My plan was to save the money that i could have rented in a two bedroom house in Nairobi and use the money to build one of my own.
I decided to move in a mabati house so that I could pay the landlord and at the same time save other cash to buy a plot and start building slowly,’’ he said.
According to him no one knew where he used lived except his loyal friend famously known as (2mbili) not his real name.
”I was living in a Mabati house before i came to fame. People who knew me made fun of me that I was living in a mkebe house despite earning good money.I was driving yet lived in a mabati house,When am done with my hustle, i used to drive back home and nobody knew where I was staying except 2mbili,’’ he added.
In a previous social media post by Langata member of parliament(MP) Hon.Felix Odur famously known as Jalango, the legislator posted the multimillion house belonging to comadian GK congratulating him for the milestone.
The comment read:
“GK wasafi comedy thank you for welcoming me to your humble abode…you are putting up a beautiful house through your own sweat and hard work! God above everything! Soon you will open it, be inspired!,”reads Hon.Felix Odur comment.
Also other celebrities such as Khaligraph Jones and Mulamwah joined fans on social media to congratulate GK for the achievement and appriciated his efforts.
