Kenyan athletes and dignitaries proudly represented their country in a vibrant display at the official opening ceremony of the Olympics, held along the Seine River in Paris.
As part of the festivities, one Kenyan enthusiastically waved a large national flag at the forefront, while others held smaller flags, adding to the celebratory atmosphere as their boat sailed past the gathered spectators.
In a historic first, the Olympics’ opening ceremony took place not in a stadium but on the river, with approximately 10,500 athletes making their entrance to the cheers of the jubilant crowd.

Kenya sent a delegation of 72 competitors to participate in various sports, including judo, fencing, athletics, volleyball, swimming, and rugby sevens.
Unfortunately, the rugby sevens team may not compete further, having lost 26-0 to Samoa in the medal playoff at the Stade de France on Thursday.
