Chaos erupted at the West Joe Bar and Restaurant in Musoli Centre, Kakamega County, as three individuals, suspected to be Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and Kenya Police Service (NPS) officers, caused mayhem after refusing to settle a bill.
Manager Robinson Igonga dialed for help as the trio racked up a bill totaling KSH. 4250, then attempted to leave without paying.

When confronted by Igonga, they not only refused to settle the tab but also stole his Tecno phone. What ensued was a brutal assault, leaving Igonga with severe head and chest injuries.

As the altercation escalated, brave police officers, Sergeant Evans Etyang, PC Fred Mochache, and PC W. Gladys Onsongo, rushed to the scene, only to face the wrath of the intoxicated assailants themselves.
Despite the odds, the officers managed to subdue and arrest the perpetrators, who continued to wreak havoc even behind bars, maliciously damaging the cell’s steel door.

The identity of the suspects remains unknown as they refused to disclose any personal information.
However, suspicions loom large that they are indeed members of the armed forces and police.
They now face charges of assault, assaulting police officers, and malicious damage to property.
