In a dramatic courtroom scene, Violet Ndukwe, a househelp from Kawangware, confessed to stealing a gold ring valued at KSh 683,700 from her employer in Runda.
Appearing before Magistrate Rose Ndombi at Milimani Law Court, Ndukwe broke down in tears as she revealed that her father’s severe health issues drove her to sell the precious item for a mere KSh 4,000.
“I am asking the court and my employer for mercy and forgiveness,” Ndukwe sobbed. “I took the ring and sold it because my father urgently needed medical care.”
