K24 journalist Wanjeri Kariuki sustained a gunshot wound on Tuesday while covering the ongoing anti-government protests in Nakuru.
Ms. Kariuki was shot while standing outside a local bank’s premises, with the bullet hitting her in the thigh.
She was immediately rushed to Valley Hospital by fellow media practitioners, where she is currently receiving treatment.

The young man lay on the road as blood shot energetically from the wound, his eyes beginning to close and his body becoming frail as blood continued to drain.
