What started as a playful twist on the DP’s name unexpectedly transformed Chelimo’s career.
In a candid interview on Homeboyz Radio, Chelimo shared how her life took an incredible turn when the nickname ‘Riggy G’ became a nationwide hit.
Soon after, she was contacted by none other than the DP’s son, who delivered life-changing news.
“After the name went viral, the DP’s son reached out to me and said his father wanted to see me,” Chelimo recalled.

At the time, Chelimo had been job-hunting for almost a year, so when Gachagua asked her what she wanted, she didn’t hesitate. “I said I wanted a job,” she added.
Turning a Viral Moment into a Career
During the meeting, Gachagua offered Chelimo a position in his legal department, given her law background.

However, Chelimo had a different path in mind. “I told him I wanted to try something new, and that’s when I expressed my interest in joining the communications department,” she revealed.
