The arrest itself unfolded dramatically on a Sunday evening at Njoroge’s residence in the Jacaranda area of Kayole, Nairobi, as part of a meticulously planned operation led by the Nairobi area Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Njoroge’s apprehension came after a heated confrontation with a police officer during a routine traffic stop, during which he allegedly assaulted the officer in a fit of rage.
Njoroge later intimated that his actions were spurred by frustration after the officer purportedly demanded a hefty bribe, an assertion that has since become a focal point of the ongoing legal proceedings.
