The Commission insists on impartial investigations into the remarks made by these leaders and their alleged involvement in extrajudicial activities, urging that those found culpable be permanently barred from public office.
The controversy stems from escalating cases of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of state critics, with the KHRC highlighting the leaders’ rhetoric as inflammatory and dismissive.
