A truck carrying hazardous sodium cyanide overturned along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway, prompting an urgent warning from the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The incident occurred in the Kambembe area of Rironi, where several containers of the highly toxic chemical, sodium cyanide, spilled onto the roadway.
Sodium cyanide, known for its harmful effects on human health and the environment, was described by NEMA as a white substance in pellet form.
