Fred Omondi’s body has been transferred to Chiromo Mortuary after being at Mama Lucy Hospital in Umoja since last night.
This move followed comedian Eric Omondi’s visit to the hospital to view the body and confirm the sad news of his brother’s death.
Reports indicate that Fred Omondi died in an accident involving a boda boda on the busy Kangundo Road.
A police report stated that the entertainer was on a boda boda which collided with a Forward Sacco bus around 6 am near the Caltex petrol station.

The report also noted that the boda boda rider survived but sustained severe injuries, including hand fractures.

A video has surfaced showing the moment Eric Omondi arrived at the morgue to view his late brother’s body, visibly grief-stricken as a woman comforted him by holding his shoulders.
Eric has since expressed his devastation on social media, saying he was shocked to hear the news.
Like his brother Eric, Fred Omondi was also a comedian and was scheduled to perform at BVB Lounge in Meru on Saturday alongside DJ Becky.
In the newly emerged video, a black hearse from Exodus Funeral Services is seen leaving the hospital, accompanied by a convoy that included a Prado TX in which Eric Omondi was present.
