The family of former KTN News anchor Michael Oyier has been left in mourning, after their Iyier passed away while receiving treatment in hospital.
The family disclosed that Oyier, who was the second eldest son in a family of five, passed away at around 2:30 pm while at a Nairobi Hospital.
The experienced journalist began his career as a certified psychologist before transitioning to work as an anchor and presenter at Standard Group until 2012.
Oyier had stayed at the Mombasa-road based media house for nine years.

Oyier had also served as a counselor, a pivotal role that was crucial to his coming of age, as it later led him to become an executive leadership coach, a role he fulfilled until his passing.
The family grieved his departure with tender words, yet coldly and heartbrokenly, as they struggled with the reality that his life’s story had come to an end.
