Emotions ran high, with family members breaking down several times during the burial, culminating in even greater sorrow as his body was interred in his ancestral home of Sega, Siaya County.

Family members, including some who had traveled from the UK, wailed inconsolably at the burial site as flowers were laid to mark his beautiful life on earth.

Many turned up to witness the burial and pay their final respects to the comedian who had made a name for himself in the Kenyan entertainment industry.
The burial was also attended by Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga, along with an array of politicians including Mumias MP Peter Salasya, Lang’ata MP Jalang’o, and socialites Amber Ray and her husband Kennedy Rapudo.

Raila arrived in a chopper, and his fans from the western region rushed to welcome him.
Fred Omondi tragically died a week ago in an accident at the Caltex petrol station on Kangundo Road.
He was riding on a bodaboda and had reportedly asked the rider to speed up so he could arrive at an event on time when they met the grisly accident.
The rider succumbed to his injuries days later in the hospital.
