SPM Buzz CEO Eddie Butita experienced a major setback as his YouTube account, which had over 355,000 subscribers, suddenly disappeared.
This shocking development occurred hours after Kenyans trolled him and threatened to unfollow him for not declaring his stance on the Finance Bill, which many celebrities have opposed.
A search for the YouTube channel returned no results, suggesting it may have been reported and subsequently removed.

The loss of his YouTube account is a significant blow for Butita, who is the scriptwriter of the popular show “Nurse Toto,” which had started to resonate with Kenyan audiences.
Just hours before the account vanished, many people, including Twitter influencers, urged Butita to publicly reject the Finance Bill like many other Kenyans, warning that failing to do so would have serious repercussions.

Butita was notably one of the few Kenyan celebrities who had not made his views on the Finance Bill known.
His close friends Abel Mutua and Njugush declared their opposition to the bill days ago and were among the thousands of Kenyans who demonstrated on the streets of Nairobi on Thursday.

In a related incident, musician KRG the Don lost his TikTok account after users committed to reporting it following his support for the controversial Finance Bill.
Kenyans were angered by his remarks and quickly unfollowed him on the video-sharing app, leading to the account’s suspension, which had amassed a significant following.
Shortly after losing his TikTok account, the “Bughaa” hitmaker faced further backlash as Kenyans began unfollowing him on Instagram.
