They were remanded for 14 days by a Kibera court to allow police to conclude their investigations into the matter.
The incident leading to Kelian’s death occurred on March 16, following a purported altercation at a parking lot involving the DJ’s vehicle and Inspector Felix Kelian.
Allegedly, the altercation stemmed from a “non-injury traffic accident” where Kelian had reportedly hit Mfalme’s car from behind.
The situation escalated, resulting in Kelian being arrested and later succumbing to abdominal injuries on March 21.
Reports indicate that Mfalme, along with his bouncer, driver, photographer, and a female companion, were returning home around 4 am after performing at a Kikuyu club.
The altercation with Kelian ensued, leading to his arrest and subsequent demise.
Medical reports revealed that Kelian suffered injuries to his urinary bladder, with blunt abdominal trauma cited as the immediate cause of death.
Despite the dropping of charges against Mfalme and five others, Allan Ochieng, Mfalme’s friend and MC, will face charges for Kelian’s murder.
The decision to utilize Mfalme and others as state witnesses underscores the complexity of the case and the need for further investigation to ascertain the events leading to Kelian’s tragic death.
The court’s decision has sparked mixed reactions, with some expressing relief for Mfalme’s exoneration while others await the legal proceedings against Ochieng.
As the investigation progresses, the truth behind Kelian’s death remains a focal point, with authorities striving to ensure justice is served.
