The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Amin Mohamed announced that an autopsy for the eight mutilated female bodies found at a quarry in Mukuru will be conducted on Monday, July 15.
During a Sunday press briefing, Amin emphasized transparency, inviting stakeholders, including family members and the media, to participate in the autopsy process.
He expressed confidence in resolving the murders, highlighting the consistent mode of operation of the perpetrators and exploring various scenarios such as cults, serial killers, or rogue medical practitioners.

Amin stated, “We intend to conduct postmortem examinations tomorrow and we are inviting all stakeholders, civil society, family members, members of the fourth estate because we are not hiding anything. It is our conviction that ultimately, we will be able to resolve these heinous murders.”
He noted that the victims were all females between the ages of 18 and 30 and that the bodies were similarly disguised, packaged, and dumped in the same location.

The DCI has deployed its best investigators, including a top-notch homicide team, to address the issue, urging the public to remain patient.
Acting Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja added that of the five bags retrieved from the quarry on Saturday, three contained human body parts, while the other two contained a dog carcass and garbage, respectively.
The bodies are currently preserved at Nairobi Funeral Home.

Kanja urged public cooperation, asking residents of Kware and the broader community to provide any information to the homicide investigation unit at the DCI or the nearest police station.
“We appeal to residents of Kware and the country at large to be patient, and calm and give officers time to conclude the investigations so that we bring perpetrators of this heinous act to book,” he said.
