Candy Soita, daughter of a former Kenyan minister, has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide in Washington, United States, following a tragic accident that claimed the lives of two individuals.
The incident occurred on westbound SR 512 near Canyon Road East around 2:15 am on Sunday.
Soita, who was driving with her one-year-old daughter, was reported to be traveling in the wrong direction on the road.
Her vehicle collided with another car carrying three American soldiers. Tragically, two of the soldiers, Spc. Charles T. Fairbairn, 29, and Spc. Wendell T. Cerio, 22, lost their lives in the collision.
Soita and her daughter escaped with minor injuries, while the surviving soldier is currently recuperating at a local hospital.

When Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers arrived at the scene, they transported Soita and her daughter to a hospital for treatment.
Upon their arrival, the troopers detected the scent of alcohol on Soita’s breath.
A breath test conducted approximately four hours after the collision registered a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of .097, surpassing the legal limit of .08% across the United States, which presumes intoxication in all states.
