Daniel Kabusho Kaniu was forcefully abducted from a club along Kenyatta Road in Juja, casting a shadow of despair over his family in Nairobi’s Kariobangi South.
On June 18, masked men whisked Kaniu away, leaving witnesses in a state of shock and fear.
The abduction, which eerily coincided with the onset of anti-government protests, remains shrouded in mystery, raising questions about potential political motivations or personal vendettas.

Joyce Wanjiru, Kaniu’s distraught wife, has been fervently appealing to the authorities for any information that could lead to her husband’s return.
“I was told by his friend that he was arrested and his mobile phone had been switched off. I went there hoping to find him the next day, but I did not find him,” she lamented.

Despite reports filed at Kays police station, there have been no significant leads, deepening the family’s anxiety and fear for Kaniu’s safety.
CCTV footage from the night of the abduction shows Kaniu being forcibly taken by masked men and bundled into a black vehicle.
Witnesses at the bar, including Dickson Wekesa, recount the terrifying scene: “We didn’t know what he had done; we only saw two vehicles stop, and four men whisked him into the car and drove away.”
