- A video that is making rounds on social media of televangelist Benny Hinn pushing renowned Pastor Ezekiel Odero to fall during prayers has left netizens talking
- Initially, Ezekiel remained upright while the other pastors fell in Hinn’s presence
- The entire spectacle has sparked conversation among Kenyans, with some suggesting it was orchestrated to boost Benny Hinn’s popularity in Kenya
A video of televangelist Benny Hinn pushing renowned Pastor Ezekiel Odero to fall during prayers elicited mixed reactions.
At first, Ezekiel failed to fall down as the rest of other pastors fell in the presence of Hinn.
Then Hinn came the second time and charged towards Pastor Ezekiel, who was still standing in ‘defiance’ as his colleagues were down, and pushed him to the ground, allegedly by the power of God.
The whole charade got Kenyans talking, with some claiming it was staged just to give Benny Hinn popularity in Kenya.
Many Kenyans even joked that Pastor Ezekiel was part of the training to fake the miracles during Benny Hinn’s crusade.
But while explaining the incident, Pastor Ezekiel stated that he was grateful to have attended the crusade where he sought to tap into Hinn’s anointing.
Conversely, Pastor James Ng’ang’a of the Neno Evangelism Centre condemned organisers for failing to recognize him at the rally.
Ng’ang’a also criticized Kenyan faithful claiming that they welcome foreign pastors with open arms but cannot acknowledge him as a local prophet.
Televangelist Ezekiel Odero Slams Kenyans for Disrespecting Men of God
Elsewhere, popular televangelist Pastor Ezekiel Odero has criticized Kenyans for their disrespectful behavior towards men of God in the country.
During a church service at his establishment, New Life Prayer Centre and Church in Kilifi County, the visibly upset pastor noted that Kenyans habitually make pastors’ lives difficult with constant criticism and bashing, regardless of their actions.
“In Kenya, there is no good pastor; everyone is bad. Bishop Harrison Ng’ang’a, you call him a devil. Some even claim he has taken your money. Who asked you for your money? Bishop Muiru, you called him names. Apostle Ng’ang’a, you called him names. You are killing your own; none of them is surviving. I don’t know who bewitched Kenya. There is no child of yours that you have given a chance to just preach genuinely,” he began.
According to Pastor Ezekiel, ministers of God’s word in the country can do nothing right in the eyes of Kenyans and are, therefore, subjected to denigration by their countrymen.
Comparing the situation to Uganda and Tanzania, the televangelist stated that pastors in these countries can comfortably preach the word of God as they receive continuous support from their people and even the government.
“None of them is good enough for you. Be it on social media, you just keep insulting them. Go to Uganda; they take care of their spiritual children. Go to Tanzania; they take care of their spiritual children. As long as they have seen you are gifted in that area, they take care of you, even the government takes care of them,” he continued.
