Taking to social media, Charlene expressed frustration over the allegations, tweeting:”Guys… c’mon… seriously?? Tuwache fake news! And looks like whoever is pushing this doesn’t know @WilliamsRuto. He believes in giving equal, fair, and transparent leadership opportunities to as many Kenyans as possible, so trust me, this he would not do. Na mining tena? Not even youth? Or agriculture? She also cheekily added that the fake gazette notice even got her name wrong, stating, “Plus… my name is Chelagat, not Chelangat.”
The fake gazette notice, dated 3rd October 2024, falsely claimed that Charlene had been appointed for a three-year term starting from 4th October 2024.

The rumor sparked a flurry of comments on X, with one user remarking, “Ruto’s daughter Charlene, who was appointed blood ambassador the other day, has landed another job of chairperson of National Mining Corporation thanks to her father.“
This is not the first time Charlene has found herself at the center of unfounded claims, but she took the opportunity to reiterate her commitment to forging her own path without relying on nepotism.
