Brian Chira’s grandmother has spoken out, expressing her dissatisfaction with the house TikTokers bought her for Ksh 8 million. She says she isn’t comfortable in the area, citing poor security and inconvenience.
Speaking to TikToker Obidan Dela in a TikTok Live session on Thursday, January 30, 2025, the elderly woman revealed that she wants Obidan to help her make a decision, as she has now resolved to move out.
Among her complaints was that the house is too far from the main road, making it difficult for her grandchildren to commute to school. She recounted how the school bus that picks up her grandchild slid in the mud that morning, and in the evening, it had to drop him far from home to avoid getting stuck.
“Unaona Chira ameteremka miguu. Walimkujia asubuhi ikateleza ikakaa ikateleza sana, lakini jioni vile kulikuwa kunanyesha wakamuekea huko kwa njia mbali, akashuka miguu,” she lamented.
The granny added that her previous home was much more convenient as it was closer to the road, making her current situation even more difficult.
Security Concerns
Chira’s grandmother, who lost her grandson last year before TikTokers came together to buy her the house, also raised concerns about the area’s security.
She confessed that she no longer sleeps in peace, constantly living in fear, and now feels she cannot continue staying there. Despite appreciating the beautiful and modern nature of the house, she admitted the location no longer sits right with her.
She asked Obidan to help her figure out a way to sell the house so they could build or buy another one in a safer area, preferably near a main road.

She even suggested she wouldn’t mind a container house, as she had seen how modern and stress-free they were to set up.
“Unajua mimi nilikuwa naona si hata kuna container zinajengwa vizuri. Si kunazo? Inakaa kama nyumba kabisa. Hiyo ni mzuri. Hii area hii mi Obidan sitaki. Roho yangu inakataa kabisa. Na unaona vile hii nyumba iko very smart,” she remarked.
In response, Obidan Dela told her that selling the house instantly would take time. He suggested they explore interim solutions, such as installing an electric fence, while considering other options.
The House TikTokers Built
The house in question was bought for Chira’s grandmother through an Ksh 8 million donation from TikTokers following the tragic passing of her grandson, Brian Chira, who died in a highway accident.
The funds were raised in an effort to fulfill Chira’s long-cherished dream of building a home for his grandmother, who had raised him and his siblings after they were orphaned.
His burial had turned into a massive event, drawing crowds larger than a political rally, as thousands of TikTokers attended to pay their final respects to the beloved internet personality.
