Brian Chira’s grandmother has now turned against her former savior, Baba Talisha, accusing him of squandering KSh 8 million that netizens donated to her.
In a bitter tone, the grandmother, who was hosted in a TikTok session by Obidan Dela to clear the air on how the funds have been utilized, said she knows little about the money because Baba T and a lady named Brenda Wanjiku have been misappropriating them.

She stated that they vanished with her M-Pesa and bank account PIN, giving her limited access to the money.
The granny said she would require a full explanation of the entire account if she finds discrepancies in the balances.
She explained that Baba T lied to her about certain purchases, claiming he used money from his pockets, only for him to later insist they use the money in her bank accounts.
She lamented that they concocted scenarios, including one where they were allegedly arrested at Kasarani police station over debts from tents hired during Chira’s burial, requiring immediate bail out money.

The grandmother revealed that Baba Talisha had ceased all communication with her after learning that she had entertained Obidan Dela, who had come to investigate how the funds were used.

She recalled that Baba Talisha had not kept his word on several occasions, including when he promised to add the remaining money after the coffin she chose exceeded KRG’s contribution of KSh 33,000.
The grandmother issued a stern warning to Baba Talisha emphasizing that she was not a beggar, and highlighted that she had educated her kids up to university for them to treat her with respect.
She recounted how her life took a dramatic turn for the worse when her husband divorced her, forcing her to flee her matrimonial home to rental apartments.

Regarding the purchase of a house as stipulated, the grandmother also recalled that Baba Talisha, who had been keeping her account updates from her, took her to buy a house totaling KSh 3.4 million.

However, she noted many discrepancies, including when Baba Talisha said he would bring people to renovate the house at a cost of KSh 5 million, 2.6 million higher than the value of the house itself.
A saddened Chira’s grandmother said they have now fallen out with Baba T as he has been declining her phone calls, emphasizing that nothing bad happened between them apart from her quest for the truth.
She urged netizens to stop spreading rumors that she is rich because she was given the KSh 8 million donation, as she cannot account for it.
