On Tuesday, July 23, the media industry was struck with grief as vernacular radio presenter Mercy Mawia passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Nairobi.
Mawia, who was a cherished voice at Mbaitu FM, died during a surgical procedure with her husband by her side.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Drive Show presenter Mercy Mawia, also known as Kamuwetangi,” Mbaitu FM stated.
