Several Moi University students have sustained injuries after their university bus got involved in an accident at Kimende on the Naivasha-Nairobi Highway.
The incident happened today, Wednesday, March 27, while the students were on their way to Mombasa for an educational trip.
The unfortunate event unfolded when their bus veered off the road, causing it to overturn and inflict injuries on the passengers.

The Voi subcounty police chief confirmed that 10 students perished instantly, with another succumbing to injuries in the hospital.
Additionally, 42 students sustained severe injuries, while four suffered minor wounds.
The accident occurred during heavy rainfall, with the trailer attempting to swerve off the road to avoid a head-on collision, leading to the crash.

The incident reportedly took place in Maungu, Voi, situated in Taita Taveta county, along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
The bus was transporting public health students en route to Mombasa for an academic outing.
