A Kenyan police officer has called out deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his failure to meet a promise he had made that he would review the salary of police officers.
In a video circulating on Instagram, the discontented police officer confidently told off the Deputy President, asserting his failure in fulfilling his duties.
The cop went further to state that he was not afraid of what repercussions his bold accusation would bring, as he had suffered so much at the expense of the politicians’ unkempt promises.
He revealed that despite serving as a driver under the Kenyan police force for a whopping 14 years, he has little to show for it apart from an empty room where he sleeps on the floor.
Having driven several high-profile state officers during his tenure, he lamented that his Kikuyu tribe, despite producing several high-ranking politicians like former President Uhuru Kenyatta, still lacks tangible progress.
He appealed to the deputy president to assist his wife, as he preferred not to seek help for himself despite enduring significant hardships.
Though it is not clear whether the cop was drunk, as speculated by a majority of netizens, his sluggish way of pronouncing words and audacity to tell off the deputy president left many netizens thinking so.
Elsewhere in the video, the man even went to the extent of divulging his work identification number and loudly asking the DP to come for him if he would find the video irksome.

A majority of netizens said the DP had truly made a promise to review the salary of the law enforcers among that of other public servant workers and had failed terribly to meet that promise. However, they said that there was a better way to hold him accountable apart from calling him out on social media.
Others, however, suggested that the exorbitant cost of living may have disrupted the man’s life, leading him to boldly confront the Deputy President.
In a related development, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua came under fire for claiming Kenya has tigers which research evidently showed the country didn’t have.
Netizens commenting on this matter suggested that the Deputy President was prone to falsehoods, as he aligned himself with President Ruto’s efforts to advertise Kenya as a destination for various opportunities, including tourism.
Kenyans, including leaders, were quick to chew out the DP for making unfactual statements on an international platform.
