- It has recently emerged that Pastor Ezekiel Odero, founder of the New Life Church Prayer Center, generously donated a staggering Ksh 14 million to support Benny Hinn’s mega rally, which was facing a shortfall in funds
- The pastor, represented by a delegate who made the announcement during the ongoing rally on its first day, pledged to transfer the substantial amount to the event organizers the following day
- Israeli-born televangelist Benny Hinn had appealed to supporters to contribute to the cause, clarifying that while he wasn’t obligated to cover the expenses, he would be troubled to see the organizers left in a lurch
Pastor Ezekiel Odero, the founder of New Life Church Prayer Center, gave Ksh14.6 million (USD $100,000) on Monday during Pastor Benny Hinn’s fundraiser at Nyayo Stadium.
Hinn started a fundraising campaign to assist the organizers of the prayer gathering in covering the shortfall of USD 100,000 after holding a ground-breaking crusade on Saturday and Sunday of this week.
The televangelist, who was born in Israel, then asked well-wishers to make a donation towards the crusade, adding that although he wasn’t expected to pay for it, he would be upset if the organizers were left bedridden in debt.
A pastor from China was the first to donate Ksh2 million (USD14,000).
Midway through the service, Pastor Ezekiel Odero sent his representative to the stage to inform Benny Hinn that he would donate Ksh14.6 million.
“I have good news for you, Apostle Ezekiel from Kenya, the people of Kenya know him very well. He has said that the man of God should be left to pray for the anointing of Kenya. He is going to postpone his programme and tomorrow he is sending in USD100,000 (Ksh14.6 million),” stated the representative.
“Gob bless that dear man. I can tell you I did not want to go back to the United States knowing that this man and the committee had a burden. I wanted to make sure the burden is lifted because I have fallen in love again with the people of Kenya,” Hinn reacted.

President William Ruto, his wife Rachel, and their daughter Charlene were among the prominent figures who attended the Benny Hinn crusade.
Prayers were offered for the President and his spouse, Rachel, with Charlene asking Hinn to give the Lord her wish to find a suitable husband.
Hinn declared that the first daughter had been touched by the Lord’s Spirit as she faltered and fell to the ground.
He also revealed that God had instructed him to circle her seven times while praying for her desire.
After the seventh time, the celebrated evangelist requested persons on the stage to help Charlene stand and confess the revelation she had received.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka also attended the crusade.
