The chain of tragedies, occurring around 10 a.m., left families grieving and a community in shock.
The first incident unfolded when a trailer traveling toward Mai Mahiu suffered a tyre burst, careening out of control.
The massive vehicle crashed into a Toyota Premio, an ENA Coach bus, and a Narok-Line matatu, scattering them off the road. Three passengers in the matatu were killed instantly, their lives cut short in a moment of chaos.

As emergency responders rushed to the scene, a second speeding trailer, heading in the opposite direction toward Narok, collided head-on with a Toyota Prado as it tried to avoid the wreckage.

The impact claimed the lives of two Prado occupants on the spot, while a third succumbed to injuries later at Narok County Referral Hospital. In a cruel twist, the trailer also ran over a motorcycle, instantly killing two pillion passengers.
