Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has emphatically declared he will never forgive President William Ruto and his allies for what he describes as betrayal and humiliation of the Mt. Kenya region.
Speaking during a church service in Mukurweini, Nyeri, Gachagua revealed that his impeachment left deep scars and ruled out any reconciliation with Ruto, even as the President mends fences with other political adversaries.

Gachagua lambasted Ruto for what he termed as misuse and betrayal of Mt. Kenya, asserting that the region is seething with anger and determined to reclaim its pride and dignity.

“In this community, betrayal is a taboo, an abomination that can never be forgiven,” he declared, adding that political analysts speculating on a reunion with his former allies are misguided.

Amid calls for unity, Gachagua hinted at an imminent political comeback, vowing to restore the region’s pride while dismissing any possibility of rekindling ties with Ruto.
“The mountain is angry, humiliated, and ashamed, but we will restrategize and reclaim our pride,” he said, underscoring that Mt. Kenya has moved on from the betrayal.
