Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has broken his silence on his controversial non-appearance at the Furaha Festival in Kenya.
The singer, who was paid a hefty KSh 19.4 million for the performance, has shifted the blame onto fellow musician Willy Paul, accusing him of creating unnecessary drama and clout-chasing.
Diamond claims that he was ready to perform but was delayed due to security concerns and organizational chaos at the event.

He insists that he was not against Willy Paul performing before him, as he was the headliner and other artists had performed before him in the past.
“I would be stupid to stop another artist from performing before me. He created a story to get sympathy and create beef. It’s nonsense,” Diamond stated.

“I won’t refund you because you breached the contract. It was to perform on the 7th, not the 8th,” he emphasized.
The incident has sparked heated debate on social media, with many Kenyans expressing disappointment and frustration over Diamond’s non-appearance.
However, others have defended the singer, citing the chaotic situation at the event.
