A breakthrough in the brutal murder of Sospeter Osunga, aka “Akoko the Billionaire,” has been made by detectives based at DCI Kibra, who arrested the main suspect in the crime on November 18, 2024.
Akoko, a 23-year-old fourth-year architecture student at Kirinyaga University, was fatally attacked by a gang of hoodlums in the Ayani area after a confrontation with Bodaboda riders.

Investigations, which included crucial testimonies from witnesses and intelligence leads, have linked the arrested suspect to the savage attack, which left Akoko with multiple stab wounds on his stomach and back, tragically ending his life.

The young man’s lavish lifestyle, often flaunted on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, made him a well-known figure among his peers, but his untimely death was unrelated to any of his past dealings.
On the night of his death, Akoko had arrived in Kibera in an Audi Q3, intending to “treat” friends, but a dispute at a local club led to his gruesome murder.
