A chilling tale has emerged from Murende village in Matayos Constituency, Busia County, where a woman seeking help from a witch doctor met her tragic end.
Margaret Agutu had joined a ritual session led by the witch doctor, allegedly meant to cleanse her neighbor using occult practices.
The session turned fatal when a snake, part of the mystical materials, bit her finger mid-ritual.
Despite her pleas for help, the witch doctor dismissed her cries, continuing the ceremony even as her pain intensified.

Witnesses claim that when Agutu’s condition worsened, the witch doctor hastily packed the snake into a sack along with his ritual tools and fled the scene.
