- Diana Marua’s former housekeeper, Irene Wekesa, has asked fans for help as she is currently sleeping on the floor in a single-room house
- The former nanny revealed that life has become unbearably harsh for her, to the extent that she sent her son to the village to prevent him from suffering alongside her
- Fans have reacted to her appeal with mixed emotions, especially since she had just a few days ago quit her job at the socialite’s home with her head held high.
Irene Wekesa, once a familiar face in Diana Marua’s household, has laid bare the harsh realities of life after leaving her job at the socialite’s opulent home.
Now residing in a modest single room, Irene revealed she has been sleeping on the floor and recently sent her young son to the village to shield him from the brunt of her struggles.
Speaking candidly to her followers, Irene shared that her new home is barely furnished. For three nights, she endured sleeping directly on the floor until a kind-hearted individual gifted her a small mattress.
“This is my new house; it has nothing. Someone gave me this small school mattress after I slept on the floor for three days. There’s no bed, no chair—nothing,” she said, her voice filled with gratitude but tinged with the weight of her circumstances.

As the challenges mounted, Irene made the painful decision to send her son, Joshua, to stay with relatives in the village.
The mother of two explained that the move was meant to protect him from witnessing her financial difficulties and the stress of their current situation.
“I saw the situation I was going through wasn’t good for him. I didn’t want him to see his mother struggling with rent and other issues,” she revealed.
