The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has zeroed in on Ken Kimathi Gichunuku, known by the alias “Sultan,” as the prime suspect in the brutal murder of Seth Nyakio Njeri, the 24-year-old daughter of Kirinyaga County’s Nominated MCA, Lucy Njeri.
The chilling discovery of Nyakio’s lifeless body in a rented apartment in Biafra Estate, Thika, has sparked an intense manhunt, with authorities urgently seeking Gichunuku, who is believed to have fled the scene.
Nyakio, a recent graduate from Zetech University, was reported missing for a week before her body was discovered on October 10, 2024.
Her distraught mother, Lucy Njeri, had desperately raised alarms after failing to reach her daughter, who had left their Kamakis home to visit a friend on the evening of October 5.
“She was happy when she left, full of life,” said Lucy, recalling her daughter’s last moments.
