- Masked men poured a basin of animal blood at the gate of Jimi Wanjigi’s Muthaiga home on Saturday night, leaving his family in shock
- Wanjigi believes the incident is part of a politically motivated campaign to intimidate him after his involvement in anti-government protests
- The businessman said the act could mean they are ready to take away his life and vowed not to be silenced
On a quiet Saturday night in Muthaiga, Nairobi, a bizarre and chilling event unfolded outside the home of prominent businessman and politician, Jimi Wanjigi.
Masked men, under the cover of darkness, stormed his residence and poured a basin of animal blood at his gate, leaving Wanjigi and his family in shock and fear.
The masked assailants arrived in a pickup truck, their identities hidden beneath layers of concealment.
According to Wanjigi’s security team, who witnessed the unsettling spectacle, the men stepped out of the vehicle carrying a container believed to hold nearly 10 liters of blood.

With eerie precision, they emptied the basin at the gate before vanishing into the night, their truck speeding away without a trace.
“The entire incident unfolded in just moments,” one guard said, still shaken by the occurrence. “We saw them, but they were too quick to identify.”
Speaking from his home, the businessman claimed that the blood-pouring incident was no coincidence, pointing to what he believes is a larger conspiracy orchestrated by political actors to intimidate and silence him.

This strange act comes weeks after heavily armed police raided his Muthaiga residence in connection with his involvement in anti-government protests.
Although Wanjigi was not home at the time of the raid, the police seized several items, further fueling tension between him and the state.
“This is clearly a continuation of the harassment I’ve been facing,” Wanjigi stated. “I won’t be silenced.
This is part of a bigger plot to undermine me for my political stand, and I believe state agents are involved.”The police, however, have yet to receive a formal report on the matter.
The motive behind the macabre act remains unclear, though it has sparked concern and speculation across the country.

Just last month, Wanjigi had publicly spoken out against what he described as “unprecedented surveillance” outside his Muthaiga home, sharing images of unmarked SUVs with advanced technology allegedly stationed near his residence.
“These vehicles have been jamming all communication to my house. Why is this happening?
This is harassment of the highest order,” he lamented at the time, adding to the sense of unease that now clouds his household.
Wanjigi’s troubles began after his active participation in anti-government protests, where he was arrested and later released, only to vow to pursue President William Ruto for what he calls the “kidnapping” of his allies.
Wanjigi has since doubled down on his commitment to stand with the families of those abducted, further escalating tensions with authorities.
