- The feud between Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and President Ruto’s inner circle has taken another sharp turn after Dennis Itumbi called out the DP
- This was in response to Gachagua’s earlier claim that he was removed from Rutos private group
- In his explanation, Itumbi said Ruto was kicked out of the WhatsApp group first and the shut down came after sensitive documents were leaked
Dennis Itumbi, Head of Creative Economy and Special Projects in the Office of the President, has hit back at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s claims regarding his removal from a WhatsApp group that manages President William Ruto’s diary.
According to Gachagua, the removal led to him missing crucial presidential events, but Itumbi has now come forward with a revelation of his own.
In response to Gachagua’s claims during a Citizen TV interview, where the DP lamented his removal from the group and its impact on his ability to attend important events, Itumbi shared a bombshell on social media.

According to him, President Ruto was actually the first person to be removed from the group long before Gachagua or his staff were ousted.
“Yes, the Diary group was deleted. What DP @rigathi fails to mention is that the President was removed even before him, and the group was permanently deleted due to highly classified documents being shared in WhatsApp groups,” Itumbi stated.
The fiery response from Itumbi comes after Gachagua accused certain individuals of deliberately removing him from the group in an attempt to sabotage his relationship with President Ruto, even going as far as suggesting that some insiders wanted him to appear disrespectful by arriving late or missing key events.
“I want to ask the people who work around the presidency not to create conflict between the President and me,” Gachagua said, adding that his position as Deputy President should grant him unfettered access to the President’s schedule.
