National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah has painted a vivid picture of a chaotic State Lodge meeting where Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua allegedly grabbed digital strategist Dennis Itumbi by the collar.
The dramatic confrontation, according to Ichung’wah, was fueled by Itumbi’s failure to tweet content as directed by the DP.
Speaking during an interview on Spice FM, Ichung’wah described Gachagua as vindictive, using the incident to highlight the DP’s alleged pettiness in handling political affairs.

It just shows how petty and vindictive he can be,” Ichung’wah remarked, adding that Gachagua’s rise to power had exposed what he claimed was the ”P’s true nature.
The Majority Leader went further, accusing Gachagua of divisive politics, claiming that the DP’s leadership has been marked by frustration and intimidation toward those who do not support him.

Citing specific incidents, Ichung’wah questioned Gachagua’s alleged personal attacks on leaders like Kiambaa MP Kawanjiku and Baringo County’s Florence Jematiah, who, he claimed, faced insults for aligning with other political figures.
This latest clash adds to the ongoing tension between Gachagua and Ichung’wah, with the latter frequently criticizing the DP for what he perceives as tribalism and divisiveness within Mt. Kenya’s political landscape.
