State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed has issued an apology after his tweet, which inaccurately claimed a young graduate was earning KSh 150,000, led to a storm of criticism on Twitter.
Mohamed’s post, which included a video of the graduate speaking to President William Ruto, falsely suggested the youth earned far more than the actual KSh 40 per week he reported.
This discrepancy sparked a wave of backlash, with many accusing Mohamed of deceit and questioning the government’s claims about job creation.
