  • A video showing USIU students using luxury SUVs for school campaigns has left Kenyans in shock, with many marveling at the displayed opulence
  • The convoy featured over 20 high-end cars like Toyota V8s and TXs alongside BMW models
  •  Netizens speculated that most students at the institution are either children of wealthy government officials or international students, while others said such cars aren’t a big thing

Students from the United States International University (USIU) have once again left Kenyans in awe after a video emerged showing them using various luxury SUVs, including the latest models, for school campaigns.

This follows a previous shock when students revealed their monthly expenditures, some reaching up to Ksh 300K.

In a video posted by user Grace Wahome on TikTok, a group of students from one political faction is seen arriving on campus in a convoy dressed in the party’s theme color, red.

The convoy, consisting of over 20 cars adorned with red ribbons and decorations, featured several luxury vehicles that caught the attention of viewers.

At the front of the convoy were several Toyota TXs, followed by the newly released Lexus SUV valued at over Ksh 20 million, with students sitting on its windows as they campaigned.

Leading the convoy was a customized purple Toyota Mark X and a BMW saloon car, with three Toyota V8s in the middle, all with students hanging out of the windows.

Surprisingly, these students represented just one political party, named Alliance, which is campaigning to have its flagbearer elected as the president of the posh institution based in Nairobi’s Roysambu.

Commenters noted that this might be the party with the least expensive convoy, leaving many wondering where the students get the money from.

The convoy also included a latest model BMW speed bike and other less prestigious cars.

Many Kenyans reacted to the video, remarking that such opulence with cars is typically enjoyed only by elected Members of Parliament, and suggesting that most students at the school are either children of wealthy government officials or international students.

KCA University Diploma Student Brings School to Standstill as He Pulls Up in Sleek Range Rover

Previously, we broke the news that a diploma student from Thika-road-based KCA University stole the show at the institution when he pulled up driving a brand new Range Rover sport.

In a video shared on TikTok by user @Dangotevara, the high end car is seen making it’s way through the school compound, leaving students gasping and pulling out their phones to record it.

Netizens quelled the user however, opining that such cars were a normal sighting at institutions like USIU, while others said it probably belonged to a family member.
