The record-breaking cow was sold for an impressive R$21,000,000 (£3.33 million; $4.38 million; KSh 517 million) on June 21 in Arandú, São Paulo, Brazil.
To put this price into perspective, with $4.38 million, one could buy a mansion or a luxury apartment overlooking Central Park in New York City, travel the world, or even retire comfortably.
One-third ownership of Viatina-19 FIV Mara was sold at the auction for $1.44 million, valuing the cow at a total of $4.38 million.
The prized cow is now co-owned by breeders Casa Branca Agropastoril, Agropecuária Napemo, and Nelore HRO.
The sale of Viatina-19 FIV Mara has underscored the immense value of purebred Nelore cattle in Brazil, showcasing the top-tier genetic specimens’ worth in the market.
