The father of deceased entertainer Njambi Koikai has sorrowfully recounted the pain of watching his daughter suffer and ultimately lose her battle with thoracic endometriosis.
Speaking at the Saint Church yesterday, he shared the harrowing experiences Njambi faced with the disease, which often caused prolonged and excruciating pain.
He mourned his daughter with heartfelt words, reflecting on the shared emotions they endured and praising her perseverance and dedication.

“She always saw the completion of what she started,” he said, reminiscing about her determination even in the face of severe illness.
Njambi Koikai, known for her love of reggae music, passed away on May 24 after battling the disease for 20 years.
Father Speaks About Burial Arrangements
The heartbroken father also expressed his deep sorrow, mentioning that like many parents, he had always expected his children to outlive him.
“It is very sad to bury a child who is still young because it is not the father who should bury the child; it is the child who should bury the father.”

He revealed that the family had decided to bury Njambi at Lang’ata Cemetery, where her grandmother was laid to rest, to reunite them and give Njambi’s soul peace.
He noted that the news of her death devastated the entire family, particularly her mother, who was by her side at Nairobi Hospital when she passed away.
