Renowned Kenyan singer KRG The Don has announced his intention to run for a political seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Speaking to Betty Kyalo on her new show, “This Friday with Betty,” the elated singer shared his ambitious plans but refrained from disclosing specific details about his bid.
KRG mentioned his aspiration to become a public servant and serve the Kenyan people, stating that the Member of Parliament seat would be his first political venture.

He explained that he chose not to reveal the constituency he plans to run in to avoid the early spotlight that such an announcement might attract, given the election is still years away.
KRG also added that he did not want to cause panic, as announcing his bid now would likely lead to numerous invitations to community fundraisers and events, a common practice for aspiring leaders in Kenya.
The burglary took him by surprise, but he announced on Instagram that he had launched a mission to track down the thief, who was last seen heading towards the Kasarani area of Mwiki.

Separately, Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has hinted at his desire to elevate his political career from a Member of Parliament to the Presidency.
The outspoken MP, who recently shared the qualities he seeks in a woman, posted a photo of himself walking alongside the President at night during an undisclosed event, praising their fruitful conversation on several key issues.

He mentioned that they discussed the government’s prosperity, where the President explained that if Kenya thrives, every citizen benefits, but if it fails, everyone suffers.
Salasya also shared another picture with the President at a state lodge by a bonfire, expressing his hope for cooperation from leaders within and beyond once he rises to the country’s top position.
