Passengers aboard a Meru-bound Meru Nissan Sacco matatu cheated death when they survived a tree crashed their vehicle.
The grisly accident that would have ended in casualties happened yesterday evening, few minutes after the matatu left the countie’s town of Chogoria.
Four people sustained serious injuries after the tree fell on their car with force, sinking it from the inside.

Eye witnesses reported that the car was on motion when the accident occurred, and that the tree might have fallen following impact from the ongoing heavy rains.

The injured were rushed to the neighboring St Ann’s hospital in Igoji, Meru county and others to P.C.E.A Chogoria hospital based in Tharaka Nithi.
Kensilver Bus Crashes In Tharaka Nithi
This came after a Ken Silver bus carrying 39 passengers veered off the road, sparking fears of multiple fatalities.
The bus, en route from Maua to Nairobi, allegedly encountered brake failure while descending the treacherous slope, careening off the road and into a nearby ditch.
