Updated reports indicate that the lorry, apparently losing control due to the inclement weather, crashed into the bridge with significant force, causing the guardrail to be torn away before plunging into the river.
Residents noted that the Ena River had swollen due to the ongoing rains, and the trio were fortunate not to have been swept away.
